The Drain Gang for GANT clothing collection is a collaboration between Swedish artist Bladee and clothing brand GANT. Featuring six pieces, the collection released on September 23, 2021.
Background
As revealed in an interview, the collection was conceived when GANT creative director Christopher Bastin reached out to Bladee via Instagram direct message, after Bastin's oldest daughter saw a picture of Bladee wearing GANT. The pair agreed to a collaboration, leading to a collection of clothing that combined "a casual styling with Bladee’s idiosyncratic artworks and distinctive aesthetic, creating a narrative about the identity of Stockholm, youth culture and a way of forming the new preppy."
Release and promotion
The collection was teased by Bladee via Instagram Story on September 20, 2021 and officially announced the following day via Bladee, GANT & YEAR0001.
Drain Gang for GANT was released on September 23, exclusively via Bladee's webstore.
