What we collect and why
- Running the site. Your IP address and browser details are processed to deliver pages and prevent abuse. Our forms and notification sign-up are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser for signs of automated spam. Basis: our legitimate interest in operating the site securely.
- Analytics, only if you allow it. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity show us which pages are used and how (visits, clicks, scrolling and session replays with typed text hidden). Basis: your consent.
- Accounts and the Market. Your email, username and profile picture, plus the listings you post (which are public and show your username) and your wishlist. We use your email for listing reminders and wishlist alerts. Basis: providing the service.
- Messages. What you send through the contact or contribute forms or a listing report, used only to reply or act on it.
- Push notifications. If you turn them on, your browser's subscription address, used to send new-release alerts.
- Donations. Ko-fi handles payments under its own privacy policy and tells us the amount, name and message. Crypto transfers are public on their blockchain. Names and messages stay private unless you ask to be credited.
Cookies
We use a few necessary cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in on the Market and remember your preferences, including your cookie choice. These don't need consent.
Optional analytics cookies are set by Google and Microsoft only after you press Allow, and last up to two years. You can change your choice at any time: .
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site for us: hosting, our content database, sign-in, email delivery, spam protection (Cloudflare), and Google and Microsoft for analytics if you allow it. Some are in the United States; those transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We never sell data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Only as long as it's needed: messages until they're dealt with, account data until you ask us to delete your account, and analytics data for the retention period set with each provider.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how it's used, get a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time. Just contact us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
