Meaningful Conections Live was a series of mixes performed online during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown as a way of connecting friends, families, and friends during a time in isolation. Alyx reached out to collaborators to perform mixes on May 23, 2020 via Instagram live. Bladee & Ecco2k's collaborative mix is still archived on Alyx's main Instagram's page. Bladee and Ecco2k have frequently collaborated with Matthew M. Williams and Alyx, including walking for their SS19 show.
The mix is 25 minutes and 16 seconds long. The tracklist is as follows:
- Ralph Vaughan Williams - Five Variants of "Dives and Lazarus"
- Lifelover - Museum Of Past Affections
- E+E - Dreaming
- Skrillex - Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (piano cover)
- Excision, Dion Timmer - Home
- SizzleDotKom - Dassa Nah Nah
- Nordpolen - Kanske Jag (Kalle Strandberg Mix)
Additional facts
- The video is a collection of clips from the duo seemingly living their everyday lives with minimal editing, perhaps to highlight the theme of the mix series.
- The beginning monologue sample is also present in Ecco2k's RIFT X Boiler Room Stockholm 2023 set.
