War Magazine is a publication produced by Sad Boys & Drain Gang members, and published in 2019 by YEAR0001 as a retrospective accompaniment to Yung Lean's 2016 album Warlord.
The magazine is 144 pages, 8.27” x 11.69” with a glossy 216gsm cover with 104gsm matte pages. CMYK offset printing throughout, issued in a heavy plastic zip-lock bag.
The magazine documents the Miami Warlord Sessions, the recording of TOKYO DRIFT, and the Warlord NA Tour. The photography in War Magazine is by the featured artists, including Yung Lean, Thaiboy Digital, Bladee, Ecco2k, and Yung Sherman, offering a personal, behind-the-scenes insight into the group's lives on tour and in the studio. Before the magazine's release, the majority of these images were not published anywhere else.
The photographs were taken between 2015 and 2018. The magazine's contents and layout were designed by Ecco2k. The latest edition was released in April 2024 on the YEAR0001 shop.
