Ludwig Rosenberg (born 17 May 1993), known professionally as Whitearmor, is a Swedish music producer and songwriter, as well as a member of the artistic collectives Drain Gang and VilloVilduVeta.
Biography
Preferring to keep most of his life very private, little is publicly known about Rosenberg before the release of his first music. In 2011 he began releasing music under the name DJ Cannabiz, putting out a 13 track mixtape "RIPPING PRIVATE BOWLS "on cassette. Around the same time, through mutual friends, Whitearmor met Thaiboy Digital, Bladee and Ecco2k. Next year, in 2012, Rosenberg released his first track under the name Whitearmor called "Let Me Know". In 2013, Rosenberg along with Thaiboy Digital proposed the idea of forming a music collective to the two other now Drain Gang members. Since then, he has produced the grand majority of music released by Drain Gang. Same year, through Bladee's brother, the group was introduced to fellow Swedish collective Sad Boys. This resulted in Rosenberg producing 3 tracks on Yung Lean 's debut mixtape Unknown Death 2002 , giving Rosenberg's production attention from Yung Lean's quickly growing fanbase.
In 2019, Rosenberg formed an artistic duo called VilloVilduVeta , together with @Joakim Bennon. In 2021, they released @Längtan Får Vingar, a debut album.
Rosenberg released his own debut album "In the Abyss: Music for Weddings" in 2022, via YEAR0001.
Career
Since Drain Gang's founding in 2013, Rosenberg began frequently releasing solo instrumental singles throughout the year. Simultaneously, he was producing the majority of all Drain Gang's releases, most notably being credited on 9 of 12 tracks on the GTBSG Compilation. During the same year, Rosenberg produced 3 tracks on Yung Lean's debut mixtape Unknown Death 2002.
In 2014, he mixed and mastered the entirety of, as well as produced the majority of Bladee's debut mixtape Gluee. Later in the year, Rosenberg's production made appearance on Yung Lean's debut studio album Unknown Memory, and he is credited on the entirety of Thaiboy Digital's debut mixtape Tiger (ส).
Releasing a few solo tracks in 2015, as well as producing an array of Drain Gang singles, Rosenberg entered 2016 with 3 production credits on Yung Lean's Warlord. Later in the year, he produced the entirety of Bladee's debut studio album Eversince, co-producing two of the tracks with Ripsquad and Hitkidd.
Since then, Rosenberg has been the primary producer for all of Drain Gang's releases, with few exceptions. He has also continued making frequent appearances on Yung Lean's catalogue.
In 2019, Rosenberg produced "Nästan" together with Joakim Bennon, for the Sadboysgear x Converse "One Wish" campaign. Together they formed the duo VilloVilduVeta. In 2021, they released their debut album Längtan Får Vingar.
In 2022, Rosenberg released a long awaited debut album "In the Abyss: Music for Weddings".
